Laudato Si' Reader
The book, available in print and as a free e-book from the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, includes the preface from Pope Francis, a message from António Guterres, secretary-general of the United Nations, and reflections by dozens of people involved in Catholic environmental, peace or charitable agencies, ambassadors, scientists, academics, young people, farmers and Indigenous people.
Titled, the "Laudato si' Reader - An Alliance of Care for Our Common Home", the book shares reflections in a short collective format as a testament of how the Holy Father’s ideas have been disseminated, advocated and practiced in various settings. |
Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor: Australian Bishops' Social Justice Statement 2021-2022
The Bishops' Social justice Statement is now available.
The statement explains that the Laudato Si’ Goals “aim to put Pope Francis’ [2015] encyclical into practice, making communities around the world sustainable in the spirit of the integral ecology of Laudato Si’”. The statement urges families, schools, parishes, dioceses, and organizations to join the bishops in signing up to the Laudato Si’ Action Platform. Download the Statement here |
